We did have a good run, and crafted the best music, speaking for myself, that we'd ever done, but all
things eventually come to an end. Between health issues, outside obligations, and life in general, we reached a point
where time to dedicate to this project was simply not available.
Life can be a bitch. Tubby, far and away the best songwriter of us all, had an amazing sense of harmony, and usually knocked out his vocal
tracks in a single take. One time, before Crossroads began, I helped him with a personal project, and upon listening to the mix, he commented,
"I sound like Simon and Garfunkel", to which I replied, "You say that like it's a bad thing?". That was before COPD crept in, stealing his breath,
and his singing voice, which is absolutely a crime.
Steve and Ed are on the circuit with their cover band, "Jack Rocks", and Al and I are just doing our day to day, but we can all look back with great pride
on the work we did, and the songs we crafted together. To that end, I'm going to insure that the songs will remain available to hear and to download on the Albums page for our complete catalog. You can audition
music with the built in MP3 player, download either albums or individual songs, whichever you choose.
Does this mean the music is finished forever? Never say never again...you don't know what lurks around the next corner on the road.
